I struggle posting on big event days. Knowing these big days are all the more potent for those grieving loss, or those who have had difficult journeys. I worry about posting, and I worry about not posting. I worry because lately I feel I don’t have the words. And yet, I don’t want to miss out on honouring and savouring the life I have been given. All the more I cherish the fact that I am so close to my own father, and that my kids have an incredible father. That’s something I want to celebrate. Because I know I am lucky. So lucky.

I made a new friend at my photoshoot this morning. I love three year olds ❤️ This darling had so many things to show me, so many things to say. She was clever and her eyes😍 I could get lost in them. Also a girl after my heart, no rubber boots? No problem. #upandawaystudios

So grateful that Darryl loves our children so deeply. The kids have written many songs about him.. most include how silly he is, or how they need to tickle him. Happy 40th anniversary to my incredible parents, and happy Father’s Day to my spectacular dad. I have benefited so deeply over the years by watching the way they love each other. I want to be like them when I grow up. Also my dad is so deserving of honour. Is has spent his life pursuing wisdom, is full of integrity and loves greatly, but in a quiet way. He can be the life of the party but is humble and is quick to listen. He is an interesting combo. Glad I still get to spend time figuring him out. I am so lucky to be his daughter.
